The Christmas Market is Harrogate has come and gone, leaving behind sweet memories of those lovely tastings (particularly enjoyed Mason’s peppered pear gin this year) and the smell of roast chestnuts. The buses that brought hoards to the Montpelier Quarter have departed and everyone now seems firmly in the festive mood. I suspect many of you may have brought your Christmas presents but maybe a few of you are thinking…what do I get for the person who has everything? Well, of course you know the answer – a FOOD TOUR. A lovely way to spend an afternoon, we now offer FOUR tours to choose from. Our classic Harrogate tour of course, tasting fine Yorkshire produced fare and enjoying the elegant Victorian architecture as we stroll from one great eatery to another. Our York tour is becoming a firm favourite too – with the emphasis on York’s relationship with the world, it offers a feast to the taste buds and of course, includes chocolate as York, as we know, is built on chocolate (not literally of course, that would be dangerous). We have our Vegan Tour of Harrogate, enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans alike. If you are considering Veganuary or just fancy enjoying more great food, give this a try and of course, ideal for the vegan in your life. Last, but by no means least, the Afternoon Tea Tour with a Little Extra Harrogate Style. Exactly what it says on the tin – more than your average Afternoon Tea experience. Gift Vouchers are available on the site- and until 3rd December, 10% off with the code SANTALOVES YA.

York is looking festive as the Christmas Markets opened this last week. Our York tours have been increasingly popular this year and we have some new kids on the block. A’Roma in Silver Street by Shambles Market have been making increased appearances on our tour this year and so it is timely to introduce them to our regulars and obviously, look out for them in your jaunts around York. Alessandro and Robin grew up together in Rome and have decided to bring their expertise in authentic Italian food to another Roman city. They offer a mix of home made pasta dishes, bread and cakes and serve authentic Italian drinks. Alessandro took a degree in philosophy before training to be a chef and has been inspired by many of his grandmother’s recipes. He met up again with Robin, now a businessman and A’roma was born. They are the friendliest and most welcoming hosts and their food is certainly a hit on our tour.
