Guided Afternoon Tea Tour -Harrogate
Afternoon Tea Tour details
2 hours | 5 to 30 people | £27pp
There’s no better place to enjoy an afternoon tea than in Harrogate. This Victorian tradition has long been a key event in the town’s calendar. Our private tour experience blends past with present to give you an afternoon tea with a difference.
Led by one of our local guides, your tour will start with a stroll around the town’s cultural centre. Walking at a relaxed pace, you’ll discover why afternoon teas were a big part of Victorians’ social life in Harrogate.
Then, it is on to the main part of your Afternoon Tea Tour at the Palm Court Café. You’ll sip on Yorkshire Tea, while you brush up on your afternoon tea etiquette. Next, you’ll indulge in homemade scones, sandwiches and cake with more tea, of course.
If you’re a group of five or more, why not enjoy a private afternoon tea with a little extra Harrogate style? Perfect for birthday parties, coach trips and family gatherings.

What people say about our food tours
EXCELLENT Based on 348 reviews Posted on Tripadvisor randjjVerified Excellent food tour York food tour started at 12 pm where we met Sara or tour guide, she was very friendly and started by giving us some of York's history. We start off at a cheese and wine venue followed by a Syrian mezze, then on to a brewery and food pub and finished at a restaurant for a sticky toffee pudding and a drink. All the venues were independent no chains, our tour lasted over three hours because we had a big friendly group, we would definitely do it again. many thanks to Sara for a great afternoon.Posted on Tripadvisor KarenSVerified York Food Tour My husband and I were gifted this for a birthday treat and what a treat it was. Joined by 2 other lovely couples we were taken to 4 very different food venues over a 3 hour period. A Syrian starter, main course at a local brewery, a fantastic sticky toffee pudding desert and finished off with a cheese and wine pairing. Jill was a great host, very knowledgable. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in York.Posted on Tripadvisor Ben MVerified The best way to get to know Harrogate We were delighted to be guided around the Harrogate food scene by Kay. This was our second walking tour (the last was in York) but this time we had a private tour which was well worth the £50 supplement charge. Would highly recommend to anyone that enjoys food, history and good company.Posted on Tripadvisor Glenn NVerified Wonderful experience, We didn’t really know what to expect as neither my wife or myself had ever done a walking food tour. Marieanne took us to to five incredible historic building run by local eateries. Every quality dish was carefully selected for us. She pointed out many historical building and went out of her way to personalize our 3 plus hours together. One of my favorite stops was the Ice-cream business. The owner gave us a very interesting insights how he makes his ice cream and what the difference in mass production makes on the final product. The walk through the Valley Gardens was beautiful.
